About Us

Therapy Dogs of Vermont (TDV) is a non-profit organization of highly-trained dogs and their volunteer handlers. Our teams bring joy and comfort to hospital patients, students in educational settings, residents of nursing & retirement homes, and correctional facilities. They also travel to area schools and universities, giving presentations in the community to bring young people in touch with really great dogs and show them what can be accomplished with love, training, and a desire to help others.

Testimonials

“The Fletcher Allen Volunteer Services Department appreciates the collaboration, support and dedication of the volunteers with Therapy Dogs of Vermont over the past 15 years. Therapy Dogs and their volunteer owners continue to provide very special visits to Fletcher Allen patients and their families. Together they bring joy, companionship, wellness and very "magical moments.”
