Aphrodites Tyson Hollstein

Simply put, Tyson was truly one of a kind and we were blessed to be chosen as his parents. He made a lasting impression on each and every person that was fortunate enough to meet him. He was gentle, extremely intelligent (he could tell time better than most people), very obedient (though he could be stubborn when he felt like it) and never failed to win the heart of any person or other dog he ever met.

Gypsy Rose

We appreciate all those who provided expert care and love along the way. As a pup, she visited Mayo Healthcare and as a senior dog she and Tiger Lily visited with folks at Second Spring in Williamstown, VT bringing weekly smiles to the residents. She was a Therapy Dog of Vermont from fall 2005 until June 2014 and listened to students read in the PAWS For Reading Program at Braintree Elementary School.

Jake

Jake was the most special dog we’ve ever had, and we’ve had black labs for decades! When he tested to be a therapy dog, he was a little defensive of me, his mom, while he knew Kevin, his dad didn’t need to be defended! We took him to St Joseph’s senior living home frequently, and his “claim to fame” was that he was very vocal.

Pepper

Pepper became a TDV dog in 1995 and was the only Dalmatian to ever be certified with Therapy Dogs of Vermont. He was also the first Canadian dog to represent TDV. Pepper became a regular visitor at Holland Elementary School as a reading buddy (one graduating class even dedicated their yearbook to him) and Bel-Aire Health Care facility.

Emma was a true representation of her Mastiff breed as being a gentle giant. She was so very sweet and was at her happiest when she was visiting patients as a therapy dog for over 8 years. Emma walked the halls unleashing smiles at many different facilities over the years FAHC VT Children’s Hospital, Northwestern Medical Center and Camp Ta-Kum-Ta to name a few.

Jed was 95lbs, a Big Dog, but a true gentle giant, not a mean bone in his body. At age 7 he became a certified Therapy Dog and AKC Canine Good Citizen, allowing him to visit nursing homes, schools, hospitals and public events. He also frequently went to ‘work’ at his mom’s office. His favorite times were spent playing with his tennis balls, snowballs, Swimming!
